Do I need to be there to apply for my NIE Number?
Yes, Applications must be made in person. Recent changes in the law have made it necessary for an ID check.
How long does the NIE application procedure take?
On the day of your NIE application we need less than 2 hours of your time.

In 24 hours! The NIE certificate is ready the day after application.
Do I need to be present to collect my NIE Certificate?
No. We will collect this on your behalf and make any delivery arrangements to your Lawyer, Estate agent etc, with you on the day of your NIE application.
Do my children need an NIE number?
From area to area the answer to this question can vary. Increasingly schools and Doctors are requesting NIE numbers for minors (under 18yrs old). The paperwork required for a child’s NIE application is different to that of an adult over 18yr old.

What if I have lost my Original NIE Certificate?

What paperwork do I need?
Generally just your Passport, Copies of your Passport and Passport sized photographs are required. When you book your appointment with us we shall confirm you have everything you need. As mentioned earlier, for children additional information is needed. Let us know your personal circumstances and we will advise what is required.
Is there such thing as a temporary NIE number?
No. The NIE that you are issued initially is the same NIE for the rest of your life. Even if you lose the document and apply for a new one, the same number will be issued to you again.
Can I apply through the Spanish consulate? If yes, what benefits does your service offer over applying through a Spanish consulate?
Yes you can. The primary benefit of using our service as opposed to applying through a Spanish consulate is speed. Currently the minimum time to obtain an NIE number via a Spanish consulate is 4 months.
